Palmitoleic acid is a monounsaturated fat that may speed up fat metabolism, thus reducing the bodies ability to store fat. It also reduces all the amounts of magnesium, manganese, thiamine, copper and iron. This oil has a shelf life of two years, and is very stable due to it low polyunsaturated fat content. Cooking with macadamia nut oil is an excellent choice for frying due to its hight heat capacity (smoke point of 410 degrees F, 210 degrees C).
